Our sessions focus on the building blocks of communication through storytelling and sensory play. We equip parents and carers with strategies, support and a warm welcome.
Our Baby, Family, SEND and Outdoor sessions currently take place in Wythenshawe and Bury. You can book your place by clicking here.
Our skilled Community Delivery Team bring stories to life. Our sessions are packed full of puppets, songs, signs, lights, sounds, textures and smells to stimulate children’s senses whilst developing their communication skills.
Each class is themed around a popular fairytale or real-life story. Each session contains a Speech and Language Therapy strategy with online support so you can continue using these strategies at home. You'll also find our team modelling communication strategies throughout our classes!
Baby and Family: Our Baby (0-18 months) and Family (18+ months) take place indoors and are open to those up to aged 5. Baby sessions are designed for those who are not quite yet on the move, while our Family sessions are open to those of all ages. You're welcome at our Baby sessions with even the littlest babies - our communication strategies can be used from any age. Sessions last 40 minutes.
Outdoors: The outdoors brings lots of opportunity for communication! Our outdoor sessions are designed for all ages 0-5 years and our sensory activities capitalise on the outdoor settings we are based in! Sessions are slightly longer, lasting 50 minutes and include our communication strategies, a story, signs, songs and exploration.
SEND Sessions: In Bury and Wythenshawe, we hold our Twinkleboost Communication classes for children aged 0-5 years with a range of needs. These can include communication or sensory needs, special educational needs and disabilities, medical needs or just a little bit more support. These sessions are smaller than our typical classes. It's okay if your child struggles to engage in our sessions, we find it takes a few sessions for them to become familiar with us.
